A family-owned, Canadian-owned electrical and mechanical services business founded more than six decades ago and headquartered in rural Ontario. The company serves residential, commercial, institutional and industrial customers across its region.
Its service offering spans electrical contracting, plumbing, heating and gas, standby generators, industrial automation and bucket-truck work. This breadth supports emergency response, project work, equipment sales, installation and ongoing service through a single operating platform.
Approximately 30 employees support field delivery and business administration. The existing structure includes operations coordination, office administration, purchasing and sales, and technical leadership, providing a stronger continuity platform than a purely owner-operated trade contractor.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
More than six decades of operating history. Founded more than six decades ago, the business has built multi-generational brand recognition and deep regional relationships.
Responsive service model. 24-hour emergency availability supports urgent residential, commercial and industrial demand.
Management-supported platform. Approximately 30 employees and established operating, technical, administrative and purchasing leadership support continuity.
Licensed multi-trade capability. Electrical, plumbing, heating, gas, generators, automation and bucket-truck services address diverse customer needs.
Established senior leadership continuity. The sale includes a highly skilled three-person management team, fully funded before SDE, whose current ownership positions will transition into strong, stable contracts, providing dependable leadership and operational continuity through and after the sale.
Tangible operating infrastructure. The platform includes a purpose-built facility, warehouse inventory, specialized vehicles, trailers, lifts, machinery and tools.
Practical expansion runway. Commercial sales, maintenance programs, generator service, industrial automation and geographic growth can build on the existing base.
Products and Services
Electrical contracting: Residential, commercial, institutional and industrial electrical work.
Plumbing and water systems: New construction, renovations, pumps, pressure systems and cottage service.
Heating and gas: Boilers, radiant systems, furnaces, ductwork and controls.
Generators and standby power: Authorized equipment sales for a major generator brand, installation, service and emergency-power solutions.
Industrial automation: Motor controls, drives, PLCs, switchgear and process automation.
Bucket-truck services: Overhead work, exterior lighting, poles and specialized access.
Growth Opportunities
Build a formal commercial sales and key-account process. Dedicated account planning, bid tracking and outbound coverage can deepen penetration with commercial, institutional and industrial customers.
Expand preventative maintenance and service agreements. Structured inspection and maintenance programs can increase repeat work across electrical, generators, heating, plumbing and controls.
Grow generator installation and service. The authorized offering of a major generator brand and regional emergency-power demand provide a base for equipment sales, installations and recurring service.
Deepen industrial automation and controls. Motor controls, drives, PLCs, switchgear and regional manufacturing-process expertise support higher-value industrial assignments.
Cross-sell the multi-trade customer base. Electrical customers can be served with plumbing, heating, gas, generators, controls and specialized access from one platform.
Expand cottage and seasonal service programs. Cottage openings, winterization, pumps, water systems, heating and standby power can be packaged into repeat seasonal offerings.
Pursue geographic and tuck-in expansion. An established buyer can extend the regional footprint through satellite coverage, recruitment or acquisitions of smaller trade contractors.
What Is Included
The operating business and the assets used to deliver its services: branded service vehicles and bucket-truck capability; trailers, lifts, skid steer and excavator; electrical, plumbing and HVAC tools and test equipment; warehouse shelving, office systems and equipment; and specialized automation and generator-service equipment. The memorandum carries the full 63-item equipment, asset and inventory schedule.
Approximately $2.0 million of warehouse inventory is offered separately. The operating real estate is also offered separately and should be confirmed through independent appraisal and transaction diligence.
Transition Support
The business has an established three-person management team consisting of the next generation of the ownership family. Together, they hold significant operational knowledge across customer relationships, estimating, scheduling, technical oversight and day-to-day management.
Their compensation is already fully reflected in operating expenses before the calculation of adjusted SDE. A purchaser is therefore not acquiring earnings that depend on replacing the departing owner with additional management expense.
The transaction is expected to preserve this management structure following closing. Because these individuals are also existing owners and participants in the sale process, their continuing roles can be formalized as part of the transaction. The sale is a succession event: the principal owner has reached retirement age, and the next generation intends to remain with the company under new ownership.
